The challenge

Stripe OLT is one of my longest standing clients: I started working with the team in 2012 when they became one company, from the merger of two small IT consultancies. As a result of the merger, they needed a new brand, positioning, corporate identity and website – but that was just the beginning of a long collaboration.

As an IT strategy and support company working with such diverse customers as creative agencies, leisure and visitor attractions and professional services companies, Stripe OLT was keen to emphasise the down to earth, human and strategic elements of their offering, in contrast to the common perception of IT people as geeky and uncommunicative. They also needed to support their account management and sales teams with material that would engage existing customers and new prospects alike; and as they grew, communicating effectively both internally and externally became increasingly important.

The approach

Stripe OLT mobile working illustration created by Cecilia UnlimitedI carried out a stakeholder audit of clients and employees to extract the two companies’ strengths and find areas of synergy between the two, as well as a competitor and market review to establish Stripe OLT’s positioning in the market. Using this research and working with Stripe OLT’s directors, I developed Stripe OLT’s messages, values and positioning, and managed the production of a fresh and striking new corporate identity for the organisation which was then translated into a great-looking website.

To get employees engaged and excited about the merger, as well as on board with the new brand, I commissioned branded, personalised mugs which were delivered on day one with a pack for each employee featuring a who’s who of the whole company.

On-going support

Since then, I have continued to work with Stripe OLT to provide strategic direction in line with their business objectives as well as day to day support. Together, we have developed their brand and refreshed their website, adding blog functionality and planning a content strategy to support their sales activity. Most importantly, all their people now have access to a comprehensive marketing library of case studies, service description sheets, design assets, white papers, presentations and sector summaries to support conversations with existing or potential customers. These are all available electronically or as high quality prints.
